About Us
Denver Sewing Collective started in April 2010 and currently we have 150 members and growing. The reason behind Denver Sewing Collective is simple. I have been sewing for several years and have always wanted to bring my passion out of its solitary confines and bring more like minded people together to sew and create.
I thought it would be fun to improve my sewing skills while meeting great people. My sewing has been mainly self taught so I am eager to meet experienced seamstresses to learn from them in an effort to make my sewing better. In addition, I want to encourage those new to sewing to come and learn from a wide range of personalities and levels.
Currently, we meet twice a month in the North Denver Area. Please check out our Facebook Fan Page or GroupSpaces for next meeting times and locations.
Finally, most seamstresses, home sewists whatever we call ourselves love sewing as much as they love knitting or beading, paper crafts or fiber arts. So it may be called the Denver Sewing Collective but it really encourages doing all things creative with a community of wonderful people.
So, bring your sewing machine, crochet needles, or just your crazy creative spirit and let's get busy creating and doing what we love!
